ANDROMEDA

Figlia del re etiope Cefeo e di Cassiopea. Quest'ultima si vantò di essere la più bella delle Nereidi che, offese, chiesero a Poseidone di punirla. Il dio mandò un mostro marino che devastò le coste del regno di Cefeo, finché, come aveva consigliato l'oracolo di Ammone, non fu esposta sulle rocce la figlia del re, Andromeda. Intervenuto Perseo, egli si disse pronto a uccidere il mostro e a liberare Andromeda, se costei gli fosse data in moglie. 

Daughter of the Ethiopian king Cepheus and Cassiopeia. The latter boasted that she was the most beautiful of the Nereids, who, offended, asked Poseidon to punish her. The god sent a sea monster that ravaged the coasts of Cepheus' kingdom until, as advised by the oracle of Ammon, the king's daughter, Andromeda, was exposed on the rocks. Perseus intervened, saying he was ready to kill the monster and free Andromeda if she were given to him as his wife.

EBE

Dea della giovinezza eterna; figlia di Zeus e di Era. Ebe era l'enofora, l'ancella delle divinità dell'Olimpo alle quali serviva nettare e ambrosia. Dopo la morte, Eracle fu accolto tra gli dei che gli donarono l'immortalità, dandogli in sposa Ebe.

Goddess of eternal youth; daughter of Zeus and Hera. Hebe was the enophoros, the handmaiden of the Olympian gods, whom she served with nectar and ambrosia. After his death, Heracles was welcomed among the gods, who granted him immortality and gave him Hebe as his wife.

I diamanti rosa naturali sono tra i diamanti più rari al mondo. La loro formazione è ancor oggi oggetto di studio, ma l'ipotesi più attendibile è che essi si formino nel corso di un periodo di tempo molto lungo a grandissima profondità nel mantello terrestre. Questo processo di formazione molto lungo, unito alla pressione elevatissima e alle temperature di oltre 1100 gradi centigradi presenti nel mantello profondo, causerebbe una deformazione del reticolo cristallino del diamante, favorendo un assorbimento selettivo del verde nello spettro luminoso, il quale conferisce al diamante rosa il suo colore caratteristico. 

Natural pink diamonds are among the rarest diamonds in the world. Their formation is still being studied, but the most reliable hypothesis is that they form over a very long period of time at great depths in the Earth's mantle. This very long formation process, combined with the extremely high pressure and temperatures of over 1100 degrees Celsius present in the deep mantle, causes a deformation of the diamond's crystal lattice, promoting selective absorption of green in the light spectrum, which gives the pink diamond its characteristic colour.
